Chic Miniature is a duo composed of Ernesto Ferreyra and Guillaume Coutu Dumont. The idea to make a project together was first discussed over glasses of Michelada in Mexico City. After a

second encounter in Chile, and Ernesto’s subsequent move to Montreal, the partnership became a reality.
The first output of Chic Miniature, Conexion Califa, was released on Frankfurt’s Raum Musik imprint and was followed by Poco-a-Gogo on Montréal’s Musique Risquée. Chic Miniature’s music is a spicy fusion of Latin influences, funk, hypnotic grooves, and melancholic melodies that is best savoured at sunrise.

Guillaume Coutu Dumont, who comes with an academic background in latin percussion, has been producing music under numerous guises since 2003. He's recorded one album and several singles with the duo projects Egg, Luci, Flabbergast and in solo as Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts. He released his first solo album in 2007 on Montreal’s label Musique Risquée.

Ernesto Ferreyra, on the other hand, followed the DJ's path to the studio. His beautiful debut EP Memoria Collectiva on Mutek_rec label was followed by the second charge Exodo on Cynosure Recordings. Winter 2008 will kick in with Verano del Sur on Lowmidhigh Organic and Epaminondas on Thema Recordings.
