Adam Marshall
- Kuji - “Fables and Fairytales EP” by Murr, remix by Adam Marshall - July 2008
Fables and Fairytales is a deep, dark and aggressive cut of acid house from Toronto-based producer Murr, featuring the voice of Rosina. With a vocal chorus that begs a closer listen - to the kind of bassline you’ll be humming hours after the club; this piece of LFO tech-funk brings Adonis, Kate Bush and Pal Joey into the same room and melts them into one shining pitch black gem. A perfect anthem for a jamming sumer night. On the B side, Adam Marshall stretches the loops and dubs the jazz deep into acidic house and dark techno territory. Falling horns and random stabs; this mix grtabs you at the beginning and doesn’t let go for the next twelve minutes. Morphing and twisting from a Derrick Carter house anthem into a slippery, tripped-out ode to Mike Ink; this is a serious groove for a dark room.

Mike Shannon
- Plus 8 - Memory Seed EP - July 2008
It’s a long time since Mike Shannon first presented Richie Hawtin with his first dub plate at a Jack party in Detroit way back in ‘96 and although since then he’s gone on to establish himself as one of Canada’s foremost techno producers, there seems to be a strong sense of destiny surrounding this new collection of tunes being released on Plus 8. Either way, Memory Seed is the first EP to be taken from Shannon’s forthcoming Memory Tree LP, containing three varied cuts that perfectly capture the stule ad direction of this remarkable album.
